The six steps

Step 4, production rounds

In production the studio makes your pictures one asset type at a time, and on each board you keep, change or skip them and choose what happens next.

What's on a production board

  • The pictures for one asset type at a time, like product shots, grouped by shot. Every picture on the board passed the studio's check first.
  • A Studio pick on each shot. See studio picks.
  • How many are left, like "4 of 10 product shots left in your order".
  • Which round you're on, in the send box, like "Round 1 of 2". See revision rounds.

The questions under the pictures

If something's not working, what is it? Tick what's off (the product, faces, hands, the look, the movement) so we fix the right thing.

What should happen next?

  • Proceed: lock your picks and move to the next step. Finals still to go aren't made unless you ask for another round.
  • More like my picks: new versions built on the ones you kept.
  • Fix and retry: remake the ones you set to Change, with your notes, and plan new shots for any finals still to go.
  • Try a different direction for the rest: your kept finals stay. We show you a few new directions for the pictures still to go, drafted from your feedback. It counts as one round.
  • Try another model for this: we try the shots you set to Change on one or two other image models first.
  • Add another asset type: say which in the notes. See adding more assets.
  • Batch the rest: make every remaining asset type, then show you.

Next round: how creative? Choose from Much safer to Much bolder, with Safer, Keep and Bolder in between. Bolder means stronger color, stranger sets and braver casting. Your product and your brand's never-list don't move.

Notes for the next round: anything for every picture in the next round.

After production

When every asset type is done, you get the sign-off board.
