Using your boards

Writing notes that get the change you want

A good note says exactly what's wrong and what you want instead, in plain words, like "younger, early 20s, less sweaty".

Your notes go straight into the next round. Notes are optional, and notes on pictures you keep help too: they tell us what to keep doing. Specific notes beat vague ones.

Say what's wrong and what you want instead

  • Not "doesn't look right", but "the label should be centered and the logo bigger".
  • Not "off brand", but "too dark and moody, we're bright and sunny".
  • Not "wrong people", but "younger, early 20s, more put together, less sweaty".
  • Not "the product is weird", but "the box holds 6 bars, not 12".
  • Not "wrong use", but "she sprays it on her hair, not her face".

Tips

  1. Step 1: Name each thing, or number them: "1. matte cap 2. smaller in her hand".
  2. Step 2: Point out what you like, too: "keep this light and this background".
  3. Step 3: Pick a reason button for the quick part, then add words for the detail.
  4. Step 4: Use Notes for the next round, at the bottom of a production board, for anything that applies to every picture.

Where your notes go

A note on a picture shapes its remake. If you ask for something we can't do, the working screen says why and what we can do instead. See asking for changes.

If that didn't work

Same problem after two remakes? Ask through Help and a person at the studio looks at it. See the product looks wrong.
